Habitat Enhancements
Operation Grassland Community works with its members to secure funding for various habitat enhancement projects including off-site watering, native reseeding, wetland/riparian fencing, and artificial nesting structures for Ferruginous Hawks.
To date we have implemented >40 habitat enhancement projects for one or more of OGC’s priority species. Our on-the-ground implementation of wildlife habitat management projects continually evolves to reflect present scientific knowledge, and management technological advances. This evolution is also supported through on-going evaluation of project effectiveness, and consequent application of adaptive management approaches.
